Canal St. Martin Cruise, Paris
Some people might get a little bit panicked at taking a cruise whose journey travels 2.5 miles while under the city of Paris…
…especially when they see how carefully our captain pilots our boat.
CONTROL – not necessarily the name of the game as one drives the circle around the base of the Arc de Triumph. As one watches or rides in this traffic, the object of each driver seems to be to squeeze in and out in order to be the first one to his or her destination.
I will never forget the wonderful perfume in the air in June in Paris from the Linden trees. During my last visit, La Tour Maubourg was my “home” Metro stop. The park at the Metro exit was filled with Linden trees and as the doors to the Metro car opened down in the tunnel, we could all smell the sweet perfume wafting through the hall and I knew I was “home.”
So sorry that I cannot locate the picture I took of the blossoms.
One definitely needed a blanket or two for the first soccer game of the spring.
